Hosting vs. Hiding

So this week I wanted to hide in my laundry or at the very least, hold it in front of me and look through the arm hole... We have talked about my fear and my laundry and this week the collision was real. As I researched choosing a host for my website it all became real. We just turned in our first Project which was a big idea generating series of spreadsheets and the use of keyword searches in Google Ads. It was a really good exercise to help me understand my options and evaluate what I am hoping to accomplish.  So as eye opening and invigorating as it was to see my possibilities laid out before me, searching for a host made me want to hide.  Part of it is the reality of moving forward, of jumping into the deep waters and learning by experience. As I looked at the many host options and saw how wide open the options are I realized that I need help. I need not only support for my website, but I need a builder. I don't know what I want it to look like, I need inspiration or templ...

Affiliate vs. Drop-shipping

The more I learn about Entrepreneurship, the more I understand the commitment of time.... I am thinking out loud (typing out loud just isn't the same) with this one. Let me briefly introduce the Affiliate Business model and the drop-shipping model as I understand it.  Affiliate Business Model : Essentially, someone who is interested in promoting other people's businesses can do so and earn a small percentage of the sales generated from the referral. CONS: Very little revenue, small growth opportunities.  Drop shipping is a model of business where the Entrepreneur seeks out a comp...

My Entrepreneurial Journey

I guess it all started in the sticker shop when I was about 8 years old in 1980. My FAVORITE PLACE IN THE WORLD was this little hallway sticker shop on Main Street in Spanish Fork, Utah, called the Annex. Both walls of the hallway were lined with rows upon rows of sticker strips hanging within my reach. The stickers were affordably priced to my little budget and brain and I loved tearing off the little square of paper that contained my next sticker. The glittery bling ones always got me...I would keep careful track of how much I had spent and I was careful to maximize my quantity of stickers for the budget I was working with. It was in this hallway surrounded by the pizzaz of seemingly endless bright beautiful stickers that my desire for a business of my own was born.... Around the age of eleven I started babysitting for money. I am the oldest of ten children, so by eleven my mother had her ninth child, and I had plenty of experience wrangling children. I should also add I was pretty m...
